    Hi,

    I'm just about to publish my first site using Publii.  Very cool!!

    Unfortunately, after publishing the site to my Azure static site, I'm getting the following error:

    <Error>
    <Code>ResourceNotFound</Code>
    <Message>
    The specified resource does not exist. RequestId:f624e2c3-501e-0123-4352-38bb85000000 Time:2019-07-12T01:40:31.8400797Z
    </Message>
    </Error>

    It seems like my site/or my browser(?) doesn't want to stick to the fully qualified http path, including the www. subdomain prefix, but some script or piece is redirecting/directing to cinqed.com without www.cinqed.com.

    So.. does this mean I can ONLY use the site with an A Name?

    And Help SUPER appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dave Gerding

    To be clear, you can see the result for yourself at http://www.cinqed.com - :)

    Hi David,

    To be honest - at this moment Publii does not support Azure deployment so we have no basic knowledge what can goes wrong on this platform. Maybe this article will help: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/blobs/storage-custom-domain-name

    Hi Thomas,

    Azure storage static domain sites are just that - they only respond to http or https request and return regular files with no server side processing.

    Let me ask a different question: Have you ever had any trouble with domains that ONLY work on a subdomain, like subdomain.maindomain.com but where the site DNS will not resolve just maindomain.com requests without the subdomain prefix?

    The azure static site will only work with the full url, including sub-domain, and it seems like some link or script in the generated html (or scripts) are referring to maindomain.com instead of the subdomain.maindomain.com.

    In this case, my site will only work for http://www.cinqed.com requests, not  http://cinqed.com requests.

    Are there any scripts or assumptions made by publii that ignore or leave off the subdomain portion?

    Thanks,

    Dave Gerding

    Hi again,

    Could you share your website backup with a private reply? For bigger files you can use Firefox send service: https://send.firefox.com/

    I will be able to check if Publii removes some subdomains and why. By default it should not do it.
